MIXING THE PLASTER
Total water requirement is around 4.5 l/25 kg of dry product. Add the dry material to the water and mix thoroughly. With a power mixer or a drill paddle, around one to three minutes of mixing is sufficient. Let the plaster stand for around ten minutes and mix it again for a short while. Find the correct consistency at this stage by gradually adding the rest of the water. We do not recommend adding all of the water right at the start. In order to ensure uniform colour, the different batches should have the same consistency and mixing time. The finished plaster remains workable for around two hours.
Pretreatment of the base
Check that the clinker tiles are clean. Wet the tiles so that they are dark in colour so that during jointing, the tiles are moist and absorbent.
Grouting
Use a watering can, for example, to carefully pour the plaster into the joint between the tiles. In particular, be careful not to allow the plaster to get on the back surfaces of the tiles. Lay the concrete as soon as possible after the grouting, before the grout has set. If the concrete is laid and compacted only after the grout has begun to set, the cracking risk of the grout increases.
Dry tiles significantly speed up the setting of the grout, so the sufficient and right kind of dampening of the tiles is essential for a good end result. Lowest usage temperature +5 0C
Aftercare
If necessary, you must remember the aftercare of the grout, for example by spraying it with water.
Waste handling
Hardened product and empty, dry packages can be delivered to a landfill. A liquid product must be delivered to a hazardous waste reception point.
