Product description

Fescon Primer is a water-soluble, synthetic rubber latex. Certificate No. VTT-C-870-06.

 

  • Provides good adhesion for Fescon Waterproofing Compound and Fescon levelling compounds.

Applications

  • Concrete and cement based levelling compounds, plasterboard, floors with old adhesive residue and other such substances reducing adhesion.

Instructions

Mixture
  • Concrete and cement-based levelling compounds: 1 part of primer and 3 parts of water
  • Bases that do not tolerate moisture, such as plaster of Paris, wood, chipboard and plasterboard: do not thin
  • Floors with old substances reducing adhesion: do not thin
Pretreatment of the base
  • Remove dirt, dust, cement paste and all loose material from the base.
Applying the primer
  • The well-mixed primer is applied as a thin, even layer by brushing (avoid puddles).
  • The primer must have dried before further work; its drying time is 1-4 hours depending on the conditions.
  • Wash tools and equipment with water immediately.
  • Absorbent bases (e.g. concrete floors cast on-site) require two applications
Waste handling

Hardened product and empty, dry packages can be delivered to a landfill. A liquid product must be delivered to a hazardous waste reception point.
