Base

Clean the base of loose dust and dirt. Remove cement paste from concrete surfaces. Wet the dry base until it darkens. The best time to wet the surface is the previous night.

Mixing

Refer to the bag for how much water the plaster requires. Add the dry material to the water and mix with a concrete mixer for around ten minutes. With a power mixer or a drill paddle, around one to two minutes of mixing is sufficient. Allow the plaster to stand for around ten minutes and mix it again for a short while. Find the correct consistency at this stage by gradually adding the rest of the water. We do not recommend adding all of the water right at the start. The finished plaster remains workable for around two hours.

Work instructions

Spread the plaster with a plaster sprayer or a steel trowel onto a base damp enough to be darker in colour. The recommended thickness of a single plaster layer on walls is no more than 5 mm and, on foundation walls, 10 mm. The levelled walls can be coated with, for example, Fescon Facade, Silicone resin coating MC, Piirto-, Fescosan or painted with Fescon Stone Colour S. Thin-layer-plastered foundation walls can be left uncoated. Avoid plastering in high winds or in direct sunlight. The lowest working temperature is +5°C.

After treatment

In very damp conditions, keep the fresh plastered surface damp by spraying it with water or by protecting the surface with a plastic film. The need for aftercare depends on the conditions. It should continue for at least one to two days.
