NANTEN PU W2 PAINT ESD PART A 6 L 15314 6 l
NANTEN PU W2 PAINT AND VARNISH PART B 1 L 15399 1 l

Base requirements and coating conditions

The substrate must be clean, sound, solid and dry. The surface temperature must be at least +3 °C above the dew point temperature. During application and drying of the coating, the air, surface and coating temperature must be above +15 °C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%. Ensure the suitability of the coating for the substrate to be treated.

Mixing

Pre-mix the components separately in their own containers until homogeneous. Combine components A and B in the correct ratio and mix carefully with a low-speed mixer for approx. 2–3 minutes. The product must not be thinned.

Mixing ratio

Component A: 6 parts by volume
Component B: 1 part by volume

Densities

Component A approx. 1.2–1.3 kg/l (coating)
Component B approx. 1.15 kg/l

Coverage

Approx. 0.10–0.14 l/m² per coat.
Approx. 50 m² per 7-litre batch.

Application instructions

Nanten PU W2 ESD is applied by cross-rolling onto the substrate to form a continuous and even film, for example using a microfibre roller. Finish the surface by rolling in one direction so that each stroke is made in the same direction. When selecting the rolling direction, take natural light into account. Ensure that a wet edge is maintained and that dry edges do not form. This will prevent roller marks in the finished surface. Estimate the required batch size taking into account the area to be coated and the pot life of the mixture.
NOTE! When applied over an insulating coating, application in two coats is recommended to ensure electrical conductivity.

Top coat / maintenance coating for smooth ESD flooring

The coating is applied to the substrate by roller in accordance with the application instructions. See application instructions.

As a top coat over a non-conductive, insulating coating

Before application, grounding must be provided on the surface of the coating to be treated using conductive copper tapes. The tapes are brought up onto the walls to form grounding points, approx. 200 mm above floor level. After this, the coating is applied to the substrate by roller in accordance with the application instructions. To ensure electrical conductivity, application in two coats is recommended. See application instructions.
