Product description

Fescon Silicate interior paint is a water-borne, SOL-silicate–based interior paint for mineral surfaces and previously painted interior surfaces.

  • All common mineral-based structures, typical plaster and filler surfaces, and previously painted surfaces
  • Interior surfaces previously treated with silicate-based or traditional interior paints
  • Not suitable for application on wood, silicone, or oil paints
  • Topcoat for silicate board systems

Base

  • The substrate must be solid, clean and dry, and free from grease, wax, silicone, dust or any other layers that may impair adhesion.
  • New filler and plaster surfaces must be allowed to dry sufficiently before painting.
  • Protect the surrounding areas from splashes.
  • Clean any splashes immediately with clean water.
  • Substrates with uneven absorbency are recommended to be primed with Fescon Silicate primer.

Instructions for use

  • A test application should be carried out before starting work to ensure the correct colour shade.
  • The priming coat is applied once using Fescon Silicate interior paint diluted with clean water, max. 15%.
  • The topcoat is applied 1–2 times using undiluted Fescon Silicate interior paint.
  • During application and drying, the air temperature must be at least +8°C and the relative humidity must not exceed 80%.
  • The surface can be repainted after approx. 12 hours and is fully dry after approx. 4–5 days.
  • Clean tools with water immediately after use.
  • When spray painting, use a nozzle size of 0.017”–0.023” and a working pressure of 150 bar.

Maintenance instructions

  • A surface treated with Fescon Silicate interior paint can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a soft sponge.
  • Avoid excessive scrubbing.
  • Any damaged areas should be removed and repaired with suitable products.
  • Repainting is carried out using Fescon Silicate interior paint.
