Product description

Non-combustible, fibre-free and mineral-based thermal insulation board made of calcium silicate for window reveals in the silicate board system.

Substrate

  • The substrate must be even, clean, load-bearing and suitable for bonding the boards.
  • Both the substrate and the boards must be moistened (to a matte-damp condition) before installation.

Board Handling and Installation

  • The boards are easy to handle. They can be cut with a handsaw and shaped using standard woodworking tools.
  • The boards are fixed to the substrate using Adhesive and surface render. The adhesive coverage must be 100%, which is ensured by applying the render both to the substrate and to the back side of the board.

Finishing

  • The boards are levelled with Adhesive and surface render, reinforced with Fescon Fibreglass mesh.
  • In window reveals, corner reinforcement is used to strengthen the outer corners.
  • After the finishing coat has dried, the boards are painted with Fescon Interior silicate paint.
