Base requirements and coating conditions

The concrete strength class must be at least C25/30 with a wear resistance class of 3. The relative humidity of the concrete must be below 95%, and the surface temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point. During application and curing, the temperature of the air, surface, and coating must remain above +15°C, and the relative humidity of the air must be below 80%.

New concrete floor

Cement laitance and any uncured cement must be removed by surface grinding or shot blasting. All loose and adhesion-reducing material must be removed, and the surface must be thoroughly vacuumed to remove all cement dust.

Old concrete floor

Cement laitance and deteriorated concrete must be removed by grinding, shot blastingor milling. All loose and adhesion-reducing material must be removed, and the surface must be thoroughly vacuumed. Dirty floors should be washed and rinsed with a synthetic detergent before any further surface preparation. Any existing old paint film must be completely removed from the substrate.

Priming

Priming is carried out using Nanten ColorPur Primer. The primer must seal all pores in the concrete to form a dense and continuous, unbroken film on the surface. Nanten ColorPUR Cove Mix is applied onto the wet primer.

Mixing

Liquid components A and B are poured into the mixing bucket and mixed mechanically for 30 seconds. Ensure the containers are completely emptied before mixing. Once the liquid resin mixture is uniform, add half of component C and mix for approximately 1 minute until the mixture is homogeneous. Make sure that the first half of component C is fully blended into the resin. Then repeat the process by adding the second half of component C. Mixing time may vary slightly depending on ambient and material temperatures. Once the mixture is smooth and free of lumps, bring the material to the application area without delay.

Notes

The components must be mixed mechanically. The ideal ambient and installation temperature range is between +12°C and +25°C. It is important to take the dew point into account to prevent moisture formation in the primer. The installation instructions must be read carefully before coating.

Application instructions

Apply the coating using a suitable tool, e.g., a coving trowel or spatula.

Storage and handling of waste
See the separate storage and disposal instructions https://www.fescon.fi/en/material-bank

Colour Grey, cream, ochre, red, and green. Matt finish.
Package size Component A 1.2 kg polyol emulsion, component B 1.25 kg polyisocyanate, component C 22.05 kg pre-pigmented fillers, total set 24.5 kg
Storage

Unopened packaging: 6 months

All components of the Nanten ColorPUR system must be stored under cover and off the ground, in a dry space at temperatures above +5°C and below +25°C. This is especially important for component C, which may cure and clump, rendering it unusable. Protect all components from freezing, including during transport.

Direct sunlight or other strong heat sources can cause uneven temperature rises in stored materials. Such products must not be used until their temperature has stabilized, as uneven curing may occur during application.

Mixing time Approx. 2 minutes. Mixing time may vary slightly depending on ambient and material temperatures.
Sufficiency

Approx. 2.4 m per unit with a 2 cm radius and 10 cm height, or approx. 1 m² at 5 mm thickness per 10 kg unit. Note: Maximum thickness per layer is ±6 mm.
